The Executive Board of Teamsters Joint Council 7 has unanimously named Peter Finn as President, effective February 1, 2024.

Jeff Berdion will remain as Vice President and has been appointed to the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Fund. John Bouchard will now serve as Secretary-Treasurer and Don E. Garcia as Recording Secretary. Tony Delorio and Dale Wentz will continue to serve as Trustees.

“I’m honored by the opportunity and look forward to working in partnership with the leaders of the 18 local unions that make up Joint Council 7,” said Finn. “Together with our rank-and-file members, we can continue to fight and win for the 100,000 Teamsters of our Joint Council.”

Finn started his Teamster career as a rank-and-file member and steward in San Francisco, later becoming Principal Officer of Local 856, which has grown to represent over 20,000 members. In addition to his roles at Joint Council 7 and Local 856, Finn serves on the Teamsters General Executive Board as Western Region Vice President, serves as Teamsters Food Processing Division Director, and sits on the Western Conference of Teamsters Pension Trust Fund Board as a Trustee.

Teamsters Joint Council 7 represents 100,000 members in 18 local unions across Northern California, the Central Valley, Northern Nevada. Joint Council 7 members work in freight, delivery, construction, dairy, beverage, food processing, rail and ports, parking, solid waste/recycling, hotels, bus driving, schools, public services, and many other industries.
