Local 856 represents hundreds of members at Marin General Hospital — members who work as surgical technologists, patient admitting staff, monitor technicians, and environmental services aides.

In December, many of those members chose to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their co-workers in the National Union of Healthcare Workers (NUHW) during NUHW’s one-day informational picket line. These union members work in the hospital as radiology techs and are currently fighting with the hospital for a fair contract.

By standing in solidarity with NUHW members, Local 856 members are also able to show Marin General Hospital that they will also fight for their own fair and decent contract.
