We are excited to announce the official launch of our Teamsters Local 856’s 501(c)3 non-profit fund: the Teamsters Afterschool Fund! Our new non-profit will provide financial assistance to K-12 Teamsters 856 kids participating in afterschool programs.
Afterschool programs provide education, enrichment, and activities that spur growth outside of regular school hours, exposing kids to a broader spectrum of interests, encouraging them to work with others, build confidence, and be further prepared for the academic and career opportunities ahead of them. Details on how children and dependents of Local 856 members can apply will be available later this summer.
Please join us on the 32nd floor of the historic Westin St. Francis hotel to enjoy near 360-degree views of San Francisco, a hosted bar, hors d’oeuvres, music, and more as we celebrate the launch of the Teamsters Afterschool Fund.
