Last month, City of South San Francisco Teamsters ratified a one-year contract extension that includes a 3% cost of living increases for more than 100 members working across two units — bucking the trend of proposed public sector budget cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The city council and administration demonstrated they value our members’ contributions to the community,” said Mark Leach, Teamsters 856 representative who led negotiations. “Teamsters are essential workers that will lead us through these challenging times and in South San Francisco that is being recognized,” Leach continued.
