United Airlines Teamsters once again turned out to show support for their negotiating team this week with a lunchtime rally at the SFO Base.
The rallies, which started a few months ago, occur on weeks when the United Airlines Teamsters bargaining team is in negotiations with the company. This week, the negotiations were taking place in Las Vegas.
“Even though it’s impossible for everyone to be at negotiations, this is one way we can show support for our bargaining team and to tell the company loud and clear, that it’s time for a fair and equitable contract,” said United Airlines Member and Employee Assistance Program Coordinator Steve Crummey.
United Airlines members have been in negotiations for a new contract since January 2013.
This week’s rally also gave Crummey a chance to use the bellowing skills he acquired as a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy. Watch him lead the membership in boisterous chants in the video below.
