Hundreds of Local 856 members attend this year’s Bay Area Thanksgiving Meeting on November 3, 2016.

Last month, Teamsters 856 held its always-lively Bay Area and Sacramento Thanksgiving meetings drawing hundreds of members from across Northern California for the annual tradition, which dates back decades. Members in attendance were treated to gifts and prizes, but more importantly, attendees raised more than $1,400 for the Local’s Solidarity Fund and brought in hundreds of toys and food donations for the San Mateo Labor Council’s Hardship Fund, which assists union members in need.

Special thanks to Alameda County Supervisors Scott Haggerty and Richard Valle for their very generous donations of suite tickets to upcoming Warriors games as raffle prizes.
