Teamsters 856 members volunteered their time and efforts to get out the vote for State Senate District 7 Candidate Susan Bonilla this month. A special election was held on March 17 to fill the vacancy left by Mark DeSaulnier, who was elected to Congress. Bonilla garnered enough support to prompt a run off election in May against anti-labor candidate Steve Glazer.
Glazer has previously called for legislation that would severely restrict the rights of working people. In contrast, Bonilla had a 100% labor voting record in the the last legislative session as an Assemblymember. It’s critical that every Teamster in the district casts their vote for the candidate who supports working people — Susan Bonilla.
Those who vote by mail will begin receive their ballots after April 20, and the election will be held on May 19.

(L-R) Teamsters 856 Members Harmony Santoro, Juan Escobar, Don Helgensen, Novia Feria, Judy Rodrigues, Javier Lectora, Trish Blinstrub, & Malia Vella precinct walk for Bonilla on April 11.
