Americans’ support for unions continues to grow, particularly among young adults.

Americans’ support of labor unions continues to grow, jumping 5 percentage points in the last year alone to its highest approval rating since 2008, according to a recently conducted Gallup poll.

Young adults, those aged 18 to 34, have the most favorable opinions of unions among all age groups surveyed – an encouraging signal for future growth and popularity of unions.

Gallup summarizes the findings of the poll this way, “The solid majority approve of unions, and most would like to see unions’ power strengthened, or at least maintained.”
