Getting called into an investigatory meeting can be an intimidating experience, so it’s reassuring to know that your Teamster steward will be there to have your back. That’s why on Monday, June 20, Teamsters 856 held a training specifically on this topic for new shop stewards in San Francisco. The class went over Weingarten Rights, how to prepare  before the meeting, and what steps to take after the meeting is over.

Thanks to the stewards from City of San Bruno, the San Francisco Zoo, City & County of San Francisco, SamTrans, the Peninsula Humane Society, and Edgewood Center for Children and Families who took time out to attend this important training so they can better help their fellow Teamsters in need.

Next up: the new stewards will dive into the the ins and outs of fighting discipline on July 12 in San Francisco.

Stewards who are interested in attending this training can r.s.v.p. here.
