Just days after the Edgewood Center for Children and Families workers began contacting elected officials and held a speak out to expose the conditions at Edgewood, the employer agreed to enter a settlement agreement on all charges pending with the National Labor Relations Board.

The NLRB approved settlement will include a 60-day posting regarding their misconduct and a new election for direct care staff.

The fight continues and the worker committee is moving forward with a campaign to achieve a voice at work.

Many thanks to all the Teamsters 856 members who traveled from near and far to attend February’s Speakout in San Francisco.
